What the process involves
Gestational surrogacy in Mexico is a legal pathway in which a gestational carrier carries a pregnancy created through in vitro fertilization, so that the intended parents are recognized as the baby's legal parents from birth. Since the 2021 Supreme Court rulings, it is available to every type of family: heterosexual couples, LGBTQ+ couples and single parents.
At Surrogate Mexico we coordinate the entire journey in one place: the legal strategy, the bank escrow, the IVF treatment at Ingenes Institute, obstetric care for the surrogate and the consular paperwork to travel home. Below you will find the seven stages, what each one involves and how long it takes.

Pillar 1
We create your embryos through the path that best fits your case, always on medical advice. BlueDonors is the European egg bank Ingenes partners with, with a broad donor catalog.
For heterosexual couples and single women. We monitor ovarian stimulation and perform the egg retrieval and IVF in our lab, with the partner’s sperm or, if needed, donor sperm.
Ingenes partners with BlueDonors, a European egg bank with a broad donor catalog. It is the path for male couples, single men and anyone who cannot use their own eggs.
You select 3 profiles from the catalog. Depending on how soon you want to start, you can choose donors with eggs available right away or donors awaiting retrieval. Programs include egg sets from these donors and, when the doctor recommends it, there are programs with two sets.
If your embryos already exist at another clinic, we handle the logistics and the import permits. The transport cost is not included.
If PGT-A was not performed and no embryo reached the blastocyst stage, we provide another egg set so you can keep pursuing pregnancy.
Pillar 2
On average, we match you with your surrogate in 4 to 8 weeks, with every requirement verified, so your baby grows with a woman who is ready to carry the pregnancy.
Pillar 3
100% of the program payments for the surrogate, the hospital, insurance and the legal process are protected in a bank trust.
What your program sets aside for the surrogate, the hospital, insurance and the legal process is deposited in a bank trust (escrow) managed by a regulated institution, outside any agency’s control, and available when each stage needs it.
No funds leave the escrow without authorization, and each payment is validated before it is released. You always know how much has been used and what it paid for.
Lawyers and the legal process (the gestational contracts), surrogate insurance (major medical and life), surrogate support payments including her bonuses, the hospital for the delivery or C-section at partner hospitals, and medical emergencies.

A law firm specialized in surrogacy handles the process from start to finish. And so you travel as little as possible, we make signing the contracts easier.
For every type of family. Since 2021 Mexico’s Supreme Court has recognized surrogacy with no distinction by sexual orientation or marital status. The legal process is the same for heterosexual couples, male couples and single parents.

You always know what comes next and who to talk to.
Every program has an assigned doctor. They support you on everything medical and stay in constant contact to keep you updated on your surrogate.
Supports you through signatures, payments, appointments and questions, so communication never gets lost. All reports and coordination with the surrogate go through your coordinator.
